• The Tragic and Triumphant Cross
How Can We Gain a Deeper Understanding of the Cross of Jesus This Lent?

Using the book, The Tragic and Triumphant Cross by Stephen J. Binz, the Bible Study and Enrichment Community will explore Scripture to discover the answer.

The cross is both the world's most contemptible instrument of punishment and the symbol of humanity's greatest hope. In turning this tool of torture into his followers' proudest boast, Jesus produced the most dramatic reversal the world has ever experienced. Worn around our necks, hung in our homes, carried in procession, and set on mountaintops, the cross speaks to what we believe about Jesus and about how we understand our lives in relationship to him.

This study plumbs the depths of Scripture for the horrible and glorious significance of the world's most beloved symbol.

Welcome to the St Finbar Bible Study and Enrichment site! Here you will find information on the courses we offer, as well as schedules, resources, and the latest announcements so you always know what's happening. We will also provide information about classes and workshops outside the parish.

The Scriptures are at the heart of our Catholic faith, and every effort to know the Bible is an effort to understand our faith.  As the Word of God, the Bible has the potential to deepen our relationship with God and transform our lives.

Our program consists of daily prayer, study and personal reflection; weekly small group sharing and prayer.  It is designed to create a balance between learning about the Bible and applying the Bible to our daily lives. We encourage you to become part of this program which will enrich your life.

Our regular weekly meetings:
